These Fierce Grace yoga retreats are set in a stunning valley at Villa Chimera, a 600-year-old village fortress that has been lovingly restored.

Relax in the Tuscan hills and enjoy the breathtaking 200-degree sweeping views of the valley. Stay in beautiful bedrooms furnished with antiques, enjoy outdoor yoga in our covered yoga shalas surrrounded by oak trees or evening yoga and meditations at sunset on the open infinity deck gazing at the view. Spend evenings chatting, reading, watching a movie in our home cinema, drinking wine on one of the terraces or comfy chill areas or having a last night dance under the incredible stars while fireflies light up the trees. Our expert chef will prepare luxurious food, salads, vegetarian options, meat dishes and desserts – catering to all tastes – and spoil you with the delights of Tuscan and Umbrian fare.

The villa is located in a secluded part of Tuscany between Tuscany and Umbria and close to some of the most beautiful walled towns in the region. We don’t want you to miss the romance of the local beauty!

We will take an unforgettable trip to stunning Cortona with a little stroll and shopping, then an Aperol spritz in the famous square before a sumptuous dinner. On the week long retreat we will take a morning trip to a local bustling market nestled in cobbled streets of Citta di Castello for coffee and to browse the quaint stalls and shops for gifts such as olive oil, local wines, cheeses and truffles – as well as a vintage clothing area. One night we visit a local trattoria for a humble but delicious dinner.

Michele and her senior assistant will expertly guide you through the varied classes, from soft and relaxing, to vigorous and enlivening, giving personal corrections, alignment wisdom and tips, as well as a masterclass that will fuel your practice for the coming year. Meditations, yoga Nidra and breathwork will take on new dimensions while you breathe in the fresh forest air in this unspoiled part of the world.

Suitable for complete newcomers to yoga as well as advanced yogis. The Fierce Grace method prides itself on it’s inclusivity, attention to alignment and our tutors skills in supporting anyone with a physical issue that may need modification or assistance.

Classes on this retreat will be taught by Fierce Grace founder Michele Pernetta and her senior assistant.

ACCOMMODATION

Located in the heart of Tuscany in a stunning, secluded valley, Villa Chimera sits on a number of stepped medieval terraces, allowing a 200 degree unspoiled view full of truffle oaks, green trees and sweeping hills.

Spacious and romantic, the villa is fitted with all the comforts of home, blending Italian antiques, quirky British touches and modern conveniences. Bedrooms are large, light and beautifully decorated with spectacular views of the valley.

Yoga and meditation takes place in the peaceful shade of the wooden shala or on the infinity yoga deck, overlooking the most dramatic mountainous landscape Tuscany has to offer.

We offer 4 room types, Standard, Junior and Luxury (as well as Glamping in summer) to suit your needs, please enquire if you would like single occupancy.

PRICES

Prices vary between £1350-£1550 per person depending on room type. Prices are based on two people sharing a room. Please see below for everything included in the price. Limited Single Occupancy available.

We have 3 room types:

Standard: No ensuite. (We have a pool shower and large bathroom nearby) £1350. Single 1650. We have 2 smaller single rooms with no extra Single Supplement charge.

Junior 1: £1450 sharing. Single 1800.

Luxury Suite: Larger room, larger full bathroom. £1550. Single (or triple) occupancy please contact us.

Glamping: We can offer you your own glamping tent with proper bed if you love nature – £900 sharing pp/£1200 single.

Helper – We offer one space for a helper. Do yoga, swim, sun, free meals and have fun, but be prepared to work hard! Must have a clean driving Licence and confident to drive on quiet Italian roads as well as ability to lift heavy-ish boxes.

If you do not wish to share, we have limited single occupancy availability. Please enquire before making a single occupancy booking and we will explain the options. Once we have reached our allocated single occupancy maximum, we can sometimes make one available to you closer to the retreat if we have any available. We have 2 non ensuite single rooms for no extra charge, and 1 more with ensuite available when booking opens but these go fast. Plus single glamping.

On the retreat enjoy:

• Two classes every day (except Cortona day (just 1) and travel days (no classes.) Once a day a Fierce Grace class with personalised instruction from Fierce Grace founder Michele Pernetta, one of Europe’s most highly regarded and experienced teachers, and once a day with our senior FG teaching assistant.
• An alignment workshop as well as personalised instruction, adjustments, meditation and breath sessions.
• Gourmet food and treats.
• A judgment-free atmosphere, enjoy a drink or a lie-in, or detox and go to bed early and a take morning hike.
• Alcohol is served with meals and (a reasonable amount!) is complimentary.
• Teas, coffee, fruit, snacks available throughout the day.

Not Included:

• Flights, airport transfers, 2 dinners out (although the local restaurants are very inexpensive)
• Airport Transfers: – 2 Perugia airport transfers or 2 Cortona train station transfers (£35 each way) £70.
• Excursion Package = 2 dinners out and a market excursion: £70. Payable please in Euros, cash on arrival.
• There is an “Honour Bar” system for beverages that are not supplied with meals. We supply some wine with meals and an aperitivi on welcome night, but if you wish to have more than this you are welcome to use our honour bar which is not expensive and charged at the end.

EXCURSION PACKAGES

The excursion package includes transportation to:

• The famous medieval walled town of Cortona (where the film “Life is Beautiful” was filmed) for a romantic dinner, an aperitivo and shopping in the stunning cobbled streets. (Dinner cost not included.)
• A local trattoria for a simple Italian dinner with views of the hills (the best steak and pizza in the area!)
• A morning perusing the market in Citta Di Castello, excellent for gifts, coffee, internet and buying authentic Italian clothes, vintage, as well as gifts and local delicacies.
